Key-Co System is a project funded by Erasmus+ programme (KA2 – Strategic Partnership – Adult Education) and is promoted by Per Esempio Onlus in partnership with organizations and educational institutions from Italy, Germany, Spain, UK and Greece.

Partners come from countries sharing similar challenges such as the high presence of migrants and refugees attending local educational paths, and are:

The Organizations

Per Esempio Onlus (Palermo, Italy)

is the project coordinator. It is a non-profit organization established in Palermo in 2011. It develops, at local and international level, actions focusing on the fight against educational deprivation, active participation, gender empowerment and on children, youth and adult education. Its main goal is to foster inclusion and empowerment of people with fewer opportunities. [READ MORE..]

Asociación Guaraní (Madrid, Spain)

is an NGO that works since 2006 implementing actions and projects aimed at promoting the integration and social inclusion of migrants and other groups at risk of exclusion. During his career Guaraní has adapted to social changes in order to develop an intervention based on the specifics needs of people and on the respect to their autonomy and freedom. [READ MORE..]

Solidaridad Sin Fronteras – SSF (Madrid, Spain)

is a non-governmental organization composed of interdisciplinary professionals. Its mission is to contribute to the development, integration and wellness of the most vulnerable groups, promoting tolerance, justice, and social responsibility with other organizations and public institutions. Volkshochschule Im Landkreis Cham e.v. (Cham, Germany)

is a registered, non-profit association whose main activity is to provide courses in the field of vocational training, languages, health, culture, and special courses (second chance schools). VHS Cham has a long term experience in training development with a specific focus on second language learning and in the organizations of language courses for specific groups: young learners - among them young drop outs - young adults, adults, seniors, migrants, and people from rural areas. One of the largest groups of language learners are migrants/non-native speakers. For this group, VHS Cham also organises orientation courses. [READ MORE..]

The Schools

Centro Provinciale per l'istruzione degli Adulti - Palermo 1 (Italy)

are State-owned public institutions that work with Italian and foreign citizens aged sixteen and above and provide activities and services for education. Learners attending CPIA classes have the opportunity to learn Italian, graduate from middle school or from a vocational training school, learn new languages, learn how to use a computer, access the labour market. Assos - Lechaiou Second Chance School (Lechaiou, Greece)

is an adult public school founded in 2005. Its goal is to fight social exclusion and on this purpose it offers psychological and professional counselling to its students. It has a flexible and open curriculum, able to meet the interests and needs of students, thus ensuring their active participation. The Universities

Università degli Studi di Palermo, Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza (Palermo, Italy)

is the heir of the ancient Faculty of Law. As part of the State University the main goals are three: research, education and the so-called “third mission”, that regards activities for the social accountability of Academy. In particular among the main areas of research there are: Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of law; State borders and human mobility, Citizenship, Asylum and Migration; Minorities, Vulnerable subjects, (Non) Discrimination, the phenomena and the strategy to prevent and combat the Organized Crime, etc.. The social commitment of the Palermo department is expressed mainly by the presence of CLEDU: a Law Clinic for Human Rights within the Department. University of Reading (Reading, UK)

The Department of Modern Languages and European Studies (DMLES) at the University of Reading has a uniquely strong research environment and world-leading research expertise about topics such as the relationship between language and migration, trans-languaging in education, language policy and minorities. The Department achieved the fourth highest national score in Modern Languages for research impact and more than 80% of its research outputs were judged of world-leading and internationally-excellent quality in the REF 2014.
