Last week we presented in Palermo, Italy, the research paper written in the framework of Key-Co System by Federico Faloppa, professor at Department of Languages & Cultures at Reading University.
Is multilingualism the key competence?
In this video Federico Faloppa tries to answer to this question and explains how multilingualism is perceived and used in the five educational institutions (Asociación Guaraní Internationale Projekte – Volkshochschule im Landkreis Cham e.V. Σχολείο Δεύτερης Ευκαιρίας Άσσου – Λεχαίου CPIA Nelson Mandela Palermo CPIA Palermo 2) taking part in our project, all dealing with adult migrants. The challenges faced by the European adult education system are huge, but the findings of this paper could be an interesting starting point to envisage learning and teaching models respecting and valorising the newcomers‘ cultural background.
