From 23th to 27th September, the second training course developed by Key-Co System project will be held in Cham, Germany. Teachers and educators working in the field of adult education of migrants will take part to a 5-day seminar hosted by the German organization Volkshochschule Im Landkreis Cham e.v. (VHS Cham).
Key-Co System training course is designed to foster the exchange of practices among teachers and educators coming from European countries (Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany) with a strong presence of migrant people: they will be provided with new tools to favour migrants’ integration process and reach a deeper understanding of learners’ cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
Practical activities and group works will be carried out by local trainers and participants from other countries making contributions on the basis of their own work experience with migrant learners. In particular, the exchange of practices will be focused on the role of teachers in culturally diverse settings, their motivation and skills; the analysis of learners’ experiences and the possible barriers to their integration process; the role of empowerment measures and voluntary work for a successful integration.
The seminar in Cham is the second of the three training events for teachers and educators organized in the framework of Key-Co System project. The third and last one will take place in Palermo, Italy, in June 2020.
Key-Co System is a project funded by Erasmus+ programme (KA 204 – Strategic partnership for adult education) that aims to strengthen educational and empowerment paths of migrant adult learners and to update and develop innovative practices among teachers, educators and organizations operating in the adult education field.
It is coordinated by the Italian organization Per Esempio Onlus in partnership with Centro Provinciale per l’istruzione degli Adulti – Palermo 1 (Italy), Centro Provinciale per l’istruzione degli Adulti – Palermo 2 (Italy), Università degli Studi di Palermo, Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza (Italy), Volkshochschule Im Landkreis Cham e.v.
